innovation manager

Main purpose of the role:
⦁ To ideate, validate and execute product / service breakthroughs that revolutionise how, and what, the firm delivers to its clients
⦁ To be the firm’s “Innovation Thought Leader”, and master facilitator of innovation best-practice

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
⦁ Work with the Head of Business Improvement, senior leadership and Business Improvement colleagues to develop and deliver an innovation strategy that drives localised engagement in innovation across the firm
⦁ Identify, and qualify, emerging breakthrough innovation opportunities through horizon-scanning, competitor analysis and targeted research
⦁ Work with localised steering groups to develop and curate the firm’s collective innovation ideas pipeline
⦁ Lead multi-disciplinary teams across the firm to develop innovative solutions in anticipation of future challenges and / or in response to existing issues
⦁ Identify, and leverage, opportunities to partner with clients, and external organisations, in support of the firm’s innovation agenda – such as “innovation incubators”
⦁ Develop internal innovation capability and awareness across the firm to innovate, using proven methodologies such as “Design Thinking”Key

Skills and Experience:
⦁ 3-5 years' experience of working within the innovation space, either in consultancy or client side environments
⦁ Demonstrable ability to think differently and push the innovation agenda - with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
⦁ Strong analytical and strategic evaluation skills – with proven ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative research to produce meaningful insights
⦁ Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to build strong business cases for innovative solutions
⦁ Demonstrable experience of the application of known, relevant innovation methodologies, such as “Design Thinking”
⦁ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to “story tell” complex topics
⦁ Strong innovation workshop design and facilitation skills – with the ability to engage with people at all levels
