The opportunity
Digital Finance Consulting works with clients to address mission critical issues for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), creating value and delivering world-class future finance capabilities.You will work in multi-disciplinary teams for some of the biggest and most recognised corporate brands in the world, applying the latest technologies and analytical methods, to help drive their business performance and digital finance transformation agendas that make a real difference to our working world. A growth area for us is Global Business Services (GBS) – supporting companies in either taking their first steps to establish their shared services / global business services capability, or developing the maturity of existing GBS organisations.
We support our clients across the full lifecycle of the GBS journey, including:
identifying areas of opportunity
developing the strategy, including location selection
building the business case for change
designing the future operating model, including the organisation structure and processes
supporting technology implementation and delivering automation
managing the transition of work into the GBS
monitoring and sustaining business benefitsYou will also support in developing new business opportunities, including originating sales, running proposals, pitching for new work, and act as a focal for internal initiatives.
Your key responsibilities
You will be leading programmes or multiple workstreams, and responsible for delivery of the agreed work products outcomes, and building relationships at across all levels within client organisations. You will work with the client to understand their most critical business problems and priorities, consulting with your peers to evaluate, design, and deliver solution options that leverage cutting edge technologies.

You are expected to have technical knowledge and experience to have delivered end-to-end GBS programmes, including:
Conduct diagnostic to assess maturity of processes, technology, and people
Develop future-state GBS vision, strategy, and high-level operating model
Create a GBS / transformation business case
Assess potential locations for GBS centres
Design future-state GBS and retained processes and organisation structures
Implement the future-state processes and technologies
Manage transition of activities into the GBS centre (e.g. knowledge transfer)
Develop a GBS implementation roadmap
Design and optimise the Finance function in a GBS environment (including PTP, OTC and RTR)
It is helpful if you understand and apply relevant technologies such as:
ERPs (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
Service Management Tools
OCR Technology
RPA / Intelligent Automation technology
Accounting Automation
To qualify for the role you must have:
A valid and certified professional accounting qualification
A background in management consulting
Have delivered components of large-scale Global Business Services programmes
Proficiency in your chosen market or sector
Experience of delivering change programmes within a finance function
Proven ability to engage, manage and build senior relationships
A track record of pipeline management and conversion into Sales and Revenue generation
Ideally, you'll also have experience of:
Working in a shared service centre / GBS environment
Ability to create solutions to technical problems
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to storyboard and create high quality outputs
Excellent problem solving, facilitation, and presentation skills
Track record of line managing professional services staff, including coaching and developing staff
GBS environment design and optimisation of the following functions:
HR
Commercial
Procurement
IT
Programme / Project Management
Innovation / Automation
