banking (Epm) - manager and senior manager level

We are looking for Managers and Senior Managers to join the Financial Management practice of a top management consultancy.

Your responsibilities:
Working with senior members of the team, shaping the approach to delivery of projects or programme work streams including planning resources, deliverables and timelines.
Developing and sustaining relationships internally and with client management; supporting the business development activity of senior members of the team. 
Identifying and managing risks and ensuring the Firm's processes and frameworks are implemented appropriately and effectively
Leading the delivery of projects or programme work streams of large size and complexity (including analysing and interpreting data, drafting report findings and attending client meetings) 
Identifying team member development needs and accelerating development with particular emphasis on coaching and skills transfer Practice development.
Taking a leading role in processes and initiatives that are key to scaling the business
Practice development: driving the design and development of thought leadership papers and the development of new methodologies. 

Qualifications and Skills 

Strong academics and be a qualified accountant.
Have understanding of key performance and cost challenges across financial services.
Strong people manager, able to lead large teams and develop others.
Self-starting, pro-active team player that is experienced in working in challenging environments and within a multi-disciplined team 
Project experience where you have brought about change or improvement.
Extensive experience working in the Financial Services industry, with a focus on banking 
Excellent understanding of the business model for banking, broking and trading entities, including products and channels 
Ability to review and challenge information that has been provided by other team members.   
Skill to create and deliver high level presentations and output reviews to senior executives/stakeholders and business managers 
Ability to liaise with senior Finance stakeholders to align the cost base with modelling purposes and discuss financial analysis 
Experience in performing structured analysis on the model to identify cost reduction opportunities, providing best practice knowledge with regards to reporting and analysis
Ability to collect, validate and analyse large amounts of data from multiple business systems.


Successful candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:   
Experience in delivering large Cost Management programmes for FS clients
Experience in initiatives to measure and improve the Customer experience would be an advantage.
Experience in delivering true End-to-End programmes where required skills and capabilities would include ability to identify organisational cost and value drivers and cost efficiency KPIs. (Including understanding of Cost allocations principles, Cost analysis/reporting, understanding of FS P&L's and Balance sheet 
Experienced in data gathering and analysis with the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments, understand business requirements and manage stakeholders 
Experience of working in a Group COO, Product Finance or Strategy role in a major FS organisation would be beneficial Experience in financial/business modelling, including the development of organisation wide costing models that cover multiple dimensions
Extensive experience in developing, selling and delivering Enterprise Performance Management solutions for global FS clients in a multi-disciplinary environment (including Financial Performance, Budgeting & Forecasting Reporting and Planning Cost Transparency and Cost Management.)
Experience with professional Cost allocation software (HPCM, SAP PCM, others) is desired but not essential
